We are a dedicated trust and safety team at Snap that’s on the clock 24/7. In most cases, we respond to reports within 24 hours of receiving them!
When a Snapchatter violates our rules, we remove the offending content and may even terminate the account. If it looks like someone might be in distress, we can also provide crisis and emotional support resources.
Snapchat was made to be a place where you can have the freedom to be you – regardless of who you are, who you’ve been or who you’re going to be. That’s one of the reasons why we work so hard to keep Snapchat a safe, supportive place for everyone!
It’s easy to get in touch with us! The trust and safety team is cracking down on toxic behaviour. We take every report seriously.
- In-app reporting: you can report inappropriate content to us right in the app! Just press and hold on the Snap, then tap the 🏳️ button. Let us know what’s going on – we’ll do our best to help! Learn more about reporting abuse in‑app.
- Email us: you can also email a report to us right through our Support site.
Snap works with best-in-class experts on a Safety Advisory Board to advise us on how we can continue to keep our community safe while using Snapchat.
