SPECS Intelligence Terms of Service
Effective: September 16, 2026
We've drafted these SPECS Intelligence Terms of Service (which we call the "Intelligence Terms") so you'll know the rules that govern our relationship with you as a user of SPECS Intelligence, our personal AI assistant application for Apple iOS and SPECS AR glasses, and any related website, dashboard, or support tools we make available in connection with it (collectively, the "Intelligence Services"). The Specs Inc. Terms of Service are incorporated into these Intelligence Terms by this reference, and the Intelligence Services are considered “Specs Services” under the Specs Inc. Terms of Service.
These Intelligence Terms form a legally binding contract between you and Specs Inc. ("Specs," "we," "us," or "our"), so please read them carefully since they affect your legal rights.
Some parts of the Intelligence Services are personalized, and we explain how they work in these Intelligence Terms, in our Privacy Policy, and within the Intelligence Services themselves (such as in in-product notices, consents, and settings). These resources, together with the Specs Inc. Terms of Service, collectively govern your use of the Intelligence Services and form our agreement with you.
By downloading, installing, or using SPECS Intelligence, you agree to these Intelligence Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Intelligence Services.
In summary: This is a real contract between you and Specs Inc. It covers the SPECS Intelligence on Apple iOS and SPECS AR glasses.
SPECS Intelligence is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, anyone under the age of 18. By creating an account or using the Intelligence Services, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to use the Intelligence Services, and we will terminate any account we learn belongs to a person under 18.
In summary: You must declare that you're 18 or older when you sign up. We don't want, and don't knowingly allow, anyone younger than that on SPECS Intelligence.
By using the Intelligence Services, you represent, warrant, and agree that:
you can form a binding contract with Specs;
you are not a person barred from using the Intelligence Services under the laws of the United States or any other applicable jurisdiction — including that you do not appear on the U.S. Treasury Department's list of Specially Designated Nationals or face any similar prohibition;
you will provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date;
you will comply with these Intelligence Terms, our Community Guidelines, any other terms included in these Intelligence Terms, and any other documentation, guidelines, and policies we make available to you; and
you will comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws, rules, and regulations.
In summary: You confirm that you are legally authorized to enter into an agreement and use the Intelligence Services, and you will comply with these all terms, policies, guidelines, and applicable laws.
SPECS Intelligence is a personal AI assistant application, available on Apple iOS and SPECS AR glasses, that helps you manage everyday tasks, including summarizing information, drafting messages, organizing your day, and, where you've enabled it, taking certain actions on your behalf across connected applications and services ("Agentic Actions," described further in Section 6).
SPECS Intelligence is a standalone software product. Unlike for Snap Inc. products, you do not need a Snapchat account to use SPECS Intelligence. If you separately use Snapchat, SPECS AR glasses, or other Snap or Specs products, those products have additional terms that apply to that use.
SPECS Intelligence is not a substitute for professional advice (medical, legal, financial, or otherwise), a licensed professional, or a substitute for your own judgment. See Section 9 (AI-Generated Content; No Professional Advice). While SPECS Intelligence strives for accuracy, it may occasionally make errors, so please verify important information before relying on it. Among other terms in these Intelligence Terms, Section 6 (AI Features) of the Snap Inc. Terms of Service apply to all AI features, including the Intelligence Services.
In summary: SPECS Intelligence is a personal AI assistant, but it is not a substitute for professional advice or your own judgment. Verify important information before relying on it. Section 6 of the Snap Inc. Terms of Service also apply to SPECS Intelligence use.
You'll need to create an account to use SPECS Intelligence. You must provide accurate and complete information when registering for SPECS Intelligence. You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Do not share your account credentials or make your account available to anyone else. Notify us promptly at intelligence-support@specs.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
We grant you a limited, non-assignable, non-exclusive, revocable, and non-sublicensable license to install and use SPECS Intelligence on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Intelligence Terms and our policies.
In summary: You need an account to use SPECS Intelligence. You should not share your account credentials with anyone else, and you are responsible for all activity on your account.
SPECS Intelligence is designed to connect with third-party applications and services that you choose to link, for example, email (such as Gmail), messaging platforms (such as Slack), and calendar services ("Connected Accounts"). When you link a Connected Account:
you authorize SPECS Intelligence to access, read, and, where you've enabled Agentic Actions, act upon information in that Connected Account consistent with the permissions you grant during setup and in your in-app settings, and in accordance with our Privacy Policy;
your use of that third-party service remains subject to that provider's own terms of service and privacy policy, which we encourage you to review. We are not a party to, and have no responsibility or liability under, those third-party terms;
we do not control, and are not responsible for, the availability, security, accuracy, or content of any Connected Account or other third-party service, and we are not liable for any disruption, discontinuation, or change in functionality of a third-party service that affects SPECS Intelligence; and
you can disconnect a Connected Account at any time in your settings, which will stop future access but will not automatically undo actions already taken.
In summary: SPECS Intelligence works with apps you connect, like your email or calendar. Those third-party apps have their own rules, and we're not responsible if they go down, change, or misbehave.
SPECS Intelligence may retain information about you, such as your preferences, routines, goals, and information you've shared in conversation or with us directly, to personalize your experience.
For the preview SPECS Intelligence experience, your data is stored locally on your device. If you disconnect a Connected Account from your SPECS Intelligence account, any data ingested from the Connected Account, as well as any data generated in connection with that Connected Account, will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy. In addition, you can delete all of your information by deleting your SPECS Intelligence account. Please review our Privacy Policy to learn more.
In summary: SPECS Intelligence may learn and retain information about you to personalize your experience. You can delete your information by deleting your SPECS Intelligence account.
Certain SPECS Intelligence features will allow it to take actions on your behalf and with your authorization, for example, drafting or sending messages, filling out web forms, navigating or controlling other applications on your Mac, scheduling calendar events, or interacting with a Connected Account ("Agentic Actions"). Agentic Actions are powerful, and it's important that you understand how responsibility is allocated between you and us.
You are solely responsible for configuring, authorizing, and supervising the Agentic Actions you enable, and for the consequences of any Agentic Action taken on your behalf. This includes evaluating whether a given Agentic Action or Connected Account permission is appropriate for your use case, reviewing any confirmation prompts before an irreversible or consequential action is taken (such as sending a message, making a purchase, or deleting a file), and monitoring the Intelligence Services while Agentic Actions are in progress.
Where SPECS Intelligence requests your confirmation before taking an action, you agree not to attempt to configure, script, or otherwise use the Intelligence Services to automatically bypass that confirmation step.
You will not use, and will not permit others to use, Agentic Actions to:
make or automate decisions in sensitive domains without meaningful human review, including credit, employment, housing, healthcare, insurance, legal outcomes, immigration, law enforcement, or the management of critical infrastructure;
execute financial trades, investment transactions, or other automated financial decision-making;
impersonate any person or organization, misrepresent your identity or the involvement of AI in a communication or transaction, or engage in phishing, fraud, or deceptive practices;
violate any third party's rights (including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights) or any Connected Account's or third-party service's terms of use; or
violate any applicable law or regulation.
We may suspend or limit Agentic Actions, in whole or in part, if we reasonably believe they are being used in violation of this Section 6.3 or otherwise pose a safety, security, or legal risk.
In summary: Agentic Actions are useful, but they're your responsibility. Don't set things up to auto-approve consequential actions, and don't use SPECS Intelligence to automate high-stakes decisions or to deceive people.
You agree not to, and not to help or encourage anyone else to:
use the Intelligence Services to violate any applicable law, or to plan or facilitate any illegal activity;
reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, underlying models, or algorithms of the Intelligence Services, except as expressly permitted by applicable law or applicable third-party license terms;
use the Intelligence Services in a way that infringes on, or misappropriates, anyone else’s rights, or violates our Community Guidelines;
use the Intelligence Services to develop, train, or improve a competing AI product or service;
interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Intelligence Services, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Intelligence Services or related systems;
copy, lease, sell, or distribute any of our Intelligence Services;
circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with any rate limit, usage limit, content filter, or other safety or security feature of the Intelligence Services; or
use the Intelligence Services in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our infrastructure.
In summary: You agree not to engage in illegal acts, reverse engineer the platform, train competing AI, or violate rights. You must also not disrupt, copy, or bypass the safety systems and infrastructure.
As between you and us, Specs owns the Intelligence Services, including all related brands, software, designs, and other proprietary content, features, and technology. Third-party and open source components are subject to their applicable license terms. You must respect our intellectual property rights and may not use our branding, trademarks, logos, or other materials except as expressly permitted by these Intelligence Terms or our published brand guidelines.
In summary: We retain full ownership of the Intelligence Services and all its proprietary content, software, and branding. You must respect these intellectual property rights and may only use the Intelligence Services as explicitly permitted here.
SPECS Intelligence uses generative AI models provided in part by third-party model providers to generate responses, summaries, drafts, and Agentic Actions. You understand and agree that:
outputs from SPECS Intelligence may be inaccurate, incomplete, or entirely fabricated, and may not reflect our views or the views of any third-party model provider;
you are responsible for reviewing and verifying any output before relying on it, sharing it, or allowing an Agentic Action based on it to proceed; and
SPECS Intelligence is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, tax, or other licensed advice, and you should not rely on it as your sole source of information for any decision with legal, financial, medical, or safety consequences.
In summary: SPECS Intelligence can make mistakes, and its outputs and actions aren't professional advice. Check before you rely on or act on something it tells you or does for you.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE INTELLIGENCE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY AGENTIC ACTION WILL BE COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY, ACCURATELY, OR WITHOUT UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES, OR THAT ANY CONNECTED ACCOUNT OR THIRD-PARTY SERVICE WILL REMAIN AVAILABLE, SECURE, OR COMPATIBLE WITH THE INTELLIGENCE SERVICES.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the exclusions above may not apply to you. In that case, the disclaimers in this Section apply only to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
In summary: The Intelligence Services are provided "as is" without any guarantees regarding reliability, security, accuracy, or uninterrupted performance, and Specs disclaims all responsibility for the outcome of agentic actions or the ongoing compatibility of third-party integrations.
We're constantly improving SPECS Intelligence, which means we may add, remove, or change features (including Agentic Actions and Connected Account integrations) at any time. We may also suspend or discontinue the Intelligence Services altogether. We’ll give you advance notice of material changes that affect your use.
We may also update these Intelligence Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Intelligence Services or to comply with legal requirements. If a change is material, we'll provide reasonable advance notice (for example, by email or an in-app notice) before it takes effect, except where a shorter timeframe is required by law or security needs. Your continued use of the Intelligence Services after a change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Intelligence Terms.
You may stop using SPECS Intelligence and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Intelligence Services if you violate these Intelligence Terms, if required by law, or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to us, other users, or third parties.
